Thank you!
Hello and welcome to May I spoon you?! I hope this week finds you well and as always thank you for sharing this space with me.
Thank you so much for the amazing feedback from last week’s post. For some reason, my post was not emailed to everybody. However, if you would like to read last week’s prayer to my father you can do so here.
In less than +/- 72 hours I will begin my summer break!
This week -
As I have previously stated, this summer will be a little different. I plan to focus on my mind and body. For this, I created Summer 2021 resolutions that can be found here. I am super excited to implement these resolutions. I have decided to journal my journey/path/experiment (I don’t quite have a name for it) and write about it.
Also, I wanted to share my summer reading list (resolution #4) and if you have a book you are excited about coming out this summer please let me know!
Now may I spoon you?!
A friend of mine recently shared how hard this school year has been for him. He shared that he too was tired and drained and couldn’t wait for summer to begin. I nodded in agreement and then he said something along the lines of feeling bad for the souls who did not have summer breaks and worked year long. I felt a chill run down my spine because I never truly stopped to think about people who work year long. I will be more cognizant of sharing my summer break stories all the while acknowledging that not all folx have the type of break that I do.
I want to create a space where we can share stories about living with an autoimmune condition but also acknowledging our mental health. I hope that my newsletter provides folx with a mental break in their day. My mission is to inform and give you all the feels. This is because this newsletter has never felt like a chore to me and this is in big part to you all. YOU, my dear subscribers/readers, have kept me going the past few months. YOU have given me a reason to research and write. Frankly, you have given me a reason to not give up.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart!
This newsletter details my daily struggle with Lupus and what works for my body to help manage my condition. May I spoon you? does not provide medical advice.
